Skunk no. 1 was the first truly stable hybrid to enter Dutch Cannabis greenhouses.
Scared Seeds developed it in the late 1970s from Afghan Indica, Mexican Sativa Acapulco Gold, and Sativa Columbian Gold. For the first time, this strain has produced the good taste and high of a Sativa, combined with the fast, profuse flowering of Indica strains.
Having been successfully stabilized, Skunk #1 is widely used as a breeding material for most of today's popular skunk varieties and many other varieties.
It grows without problems and is always considered the standard against which other varieties are compared. It produces dense buds ranging from light green to golden in color with very high yields.
The plant is easy to prune due to its high bud-to-leaf ratio. It has a sweet smell and taste and a cerebral high.
