Our family

Neurogan grew out of the heart of our co-founder Jan Brandrup. Originally from Funen, Denmark, he was first exposed to the wonderful powers of cannabis as a child. Every day, his grandmother Karen would take a glass jar of cannabis out of the closet and make herself a cup of warm tea. He watched in awe as her life force returned to her through simple herbal medicine. This experience gave him a clear fascination with cannabis and eventually a desire to spread its medicinal properties. Today, our family continues Grandma Karen's tradition of using cannabis for healing in San Diego, California, where our world-class team creates all of our products through CO2 extraction to produce the goodness of CBD that boasts the integrity of nature.

History of Neurogan

As Yang began to delve deeper into the etiology of cannabis, he became fascinated with its rich roots stretching back into human history. He learned that hemp is one of the most important and sustainable crops in existence. It is used to make rope and animal feed, grows in almost any environment without fertilizer, helps the environment, contains powerful vitamins and nutrients, and has the ability to heal and relieve pain.

In Scandinavia

In 2015, Jan approached a Danish family member about turning his corn farm into a hemp farm. Neurogan is now grown annually in March and harvested in September. And hemp is not new to the Scandinavian region. In fact, it has grown and flourished in this region since the Viking Age over 1000 years ago. We proudly continue this tradition by harvesting our hemp outdoors in the pristine Danish countryside, without the use of greenhouses, chemicals or GMOs. We hope that with the help of Neurogan cannabis our customers will be able to share our Danish hygge tradition while enjoying the simple things in life.
