The Kalichakra variety is named after the Indian goddess Kali (wife of the ganjakur god Shiva) and combines the unique natural genetics of South India and the Golden Triangle. Unlike typical sativas, it grows very well indoors, even in low light. Surprisingly well adopted, does not require much attention, a good choice for beginners. Female plants can provide clones in abundance. Clones can be prepared early for flowering, including using hydroponics or in grow boxes, to reduce the flowering period. In hydroponics, rapid growth is achieved by increasing the CO2 in the air and you will be able to harvest bountifully (adjust the EC of the nutrient solution to a higher level when using CO2).
Kalichakra responds well to tying, and with even light distribution will grow into an impressively large cola. Due to the structural features, light falls on all flowering shoots. Therefore, do not tie up to avoid problems with height in low light. We recommend this variety for SCROG and SOG technicians, despite the branching of the plants. A slight smell contributes to the choice of a variety for covert production.
Kalichakra produces a conical, tower-shaped inflorescence. The ratio of inflorescences to leaves, allows you to harvest exceptionally quickly and easily. The dominant phenotype is long inflorescence, which is a good choice for mother plants and breeding, and ensures high yields. After 4 weeks of vegetative growth in closed ground with HPS illumination of 400 W/m2. the average height of the plants will be 100-120 cm. More than half of the plants reach a height of about 100 cm.
Height can be easily controlled by shortening the growing season or cutting off the tops. The plants are typical sativa, like Christmas trees with long internodes. Some of them need support at the final stage, due to the heaviness of the inflorescences, in case the plant is not pruned or not in a tight bunch in SOG. To achieve maximum yield and strengthen the top branches, it can be helpful to remove 2-3 branches from below before switching to a 12/12 flowering cycle. You will be able to harvest after 68 days, but some plants will take an extra week to develop abundant flowers (and clones tend to mature earlier). You can reduce the light cycle by an hour shortly before harvest, which will speed up flowering if you are already impatient.
This variety has good resistance to mildew thanks to our breeders removing unwanted genetic traits. Kalichakra produces high yields outdoors and is one of our top hot, temperate and tropical varieties. In far northern climates, we recommend greenhouses. Harvest results depend on care and weather conditions.
In finished form, the inflorescences taste like sweet mint. The effect is soothing and relaxing. Particularly suitable for individuals prone to anxiety and palpitations. Kalichakra uplifts the mood, has a positive impact on the worldview. Great for drinking during the day, for any business, but also allows you to relax and unwind whenever you want. You can call it Yin-Yang, a combination of the best of both worlds.
