Mineral wool mat Belagro (dense)

Mineral wool substrate "BELAGRO" is used as an artificial soil for growing vegetable crops using low-volume technology in greenhouses.

The substrate is made from mineral (stone) wool. It is similar in composition to soil minerals, but is not a source of nutrients. The binder, which is used in the production of mineral wool, maintains the fibers at a certain distance from each other. In terms of physical properties, it approaches high-moor peat and is sterile, i.e. does not contain weeds, pathogens and toxic substances.

Random mats

Randomly arranged fibers give the mats increased rigidity in all planes, which makes it possible to use them for a long time. Some of the vertical fibers allow the substrate to drain well, so these mats are somewhat drier than horizontal fiber mats. In terms of such parameters as shrinkage at full wetting and moisture capacity, these mats correspond to imported counterparts. The germination of the root system of plants occurs here faster than in mats with a horizontal arrangement of fibers.
