Mataro Blue

Kannabia Mataró Blue is the most complex genotype in our entire catalogue, having been bred by a triple cross and has incorporated the best properties of several varieties with a predominance of the indica component. Among them is one of our most indic varieties of Blueberry, with a very high yield, which has retained all the properties for which it is famous (low height, fast flowering and bluish tones). Another component is the original Afghan variety (Mazar-i-Sharif), which produces resin in large quantities and yields a bountiful harvest.

The last ingredient in this indica cocktail is our Black Domina variety, from which the plant has inherited branching outdoors and indoors using 7-10L pots, and greater height than the hybrids obtained after the first crosses. In this case, the plant has a large and dense central cone, consisting of a large number of flowers, which form clusters located one above the other. In the first days of flowering, the plant begins to form crystals that cover it with a dense layer of sticky resin and resemble large drops of caramel. At the beginning, the heads of trichomes are lime green, and at the end of maturation they turn white and golden, spreading a very strong smell. If the plant is exposed to low temperatures, it acquires a blue-violet hue. Thick and healthy dark green shoots are good for cloning. Branches form medium-sized nodes with huge and thick leaves. During growth, it tolerates large amounts of fertilizer well and is highly resistant to dry periods. For good indoor results, we recommend using high power lamps (800 W/m2). The recommended vegetative cycle in closed ground, which allows you to get a good harvest, is 2 weeks. When using hydroponic systems, the plant shows amazing results, showing an amazing speed of maturation. It develops very well in open ground and can cover an area of several square meters. We recommend tying the plant up so it can support the weight of the buds. After pruning, the plants turn into large bushes up to 2 meters high.

The flowering period takes 58–65 days, and the crop can be harvested in the first days of September. To enhance the taste, we recommend using carbohydrates. The smell is very strong, with a note of bitter orange. The effect is very fast and deep, it takes you up and makes you soar, and then suddenly it covers you with a new wave.

It has a very high level of THC. Allows you to get a very strong hashish when extracted with cold water.
