Harmony CBD Company History

In 2009, Antonin Cohen, founder and CEO of Harmony, created the first non-profit organization in France dedicated to the use of cannabis for medical and wellness purposes. What he learned about cannabis changed his life. Cannabinoids brought him peace of mind and better athletic performance. With a passion for entrepreneurship, he wanted to make this powerful plant available to everyone. This became his mission.

At that time, CBD was not available in the market. Antonin began growing hemp for CBD extraction, giving away his first products to family and friends to help them live healthier lives. They liked it, and this reaction made him decide to officially open his company in 2014. CBD was by no means a booming industry - most people didn't know about it, banks weren't opening accounts for hemp companies, manufacturers. won't touch CBD... Antonin continued by investing his resources in education and quality control. Since CBD was new, he needed to explain why it was legal, how to use it, and what quality standards should be applied. To promote the development of a sustainable CBD industry, he co-founded two trade organizations: ACTIVE for all of Europe and Syndicat du Chanvre in France.

Even with his expanding business, Antonin will not waver in his commitment to ensuring the well-being of Harmony's clients. As an early proponent of independent laboratory testing of every batch of CBD, he is a leader in quality control and consumer transparency in the CBD industry.

This commitment culminated in a huge victory in 2020 at the Court of Justice of the European Union, where CBD was declassified as a drug in France. Antoninus played an important role in this change.
