Cannabidiol fights cellulite

The decriminalization of marijuana in almost all countries of Western Europe and the New World made it possible to bring research into the medical properties of this plant to the open level of serious institute laboratories. Of all the substances collectively called cannabinoids found in cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD) has been the most attractive to scientists. This substance has unique and not yet fully discovered medicinal properties, CBD completely lacks psychogenic activity, and it even acts as an antagonist for the hallucinogenic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Cannabidiol is prescribed in cosmetology

In civilized countries of the West, the legislation clearly delineates the safety and legality of CBD oil. It is freely distributed in ordinary stores and is part of many products. For such wide access to an open network of European and American stores, cannabidiol has a unique property - the absence of contraindications and overdoses.

Even in the strict legislation of China, access to cannabidiol in cosmetology was opened, and in Japan its sales are not regulated at all.

But researchers are constantly finding some new properties of CBD oil. Although, before reaching the commercial level, the results must undergo clinical confirmation, to check the effect on oneself, no one can forbid. And in this case, in the Clinical Laboratory of the Bavarian Medical University, a multifaceted study of changes in the trophism of subcutaneous adipose tissue was carried out after skin treatment with CBD oil.

The experiment involved more than a thousand representatives of the beautiful half of humanity, aged 25 to 60 years. For 6 months, the participants had to rub CBD oil of varying degrees of purification daily into problem areas of the body with obvious signs of cellulite. The dynamics of changes was monitored during a weekly visit to the drug dispensing point.

For six months, the "orange peel" on the skin, to one degree or another, smoothed out almost all the participants. In 93% of the verification tests, a positive trend was noted and confirmed by depersonalized photographs. All participants under 45 years of age experienced complete smoothing of the skin and elimination of cellulite.

Based on complex laboratory tests and samples, it was found that cannabidiol indirectly affects the intracellular mechanisms that regulate the size of adipocytes - adipose tissue cells. These cells can increase in size, accumulating triglycerides, and cannabidiol, getting through the skin to the target area, triggered the reverse processes. Adipocyte size reduction was more strongly observed with full spectrum CBD oil. Pure cannabidiol fractions were more functional for women over 45 years of age. Project leader prof. Dr. Müller of Medicine, has scheduled a more detailed study of cannabinoids for 2022.
