DNA Genetics was founded in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) in 2004 and gained popularity due to the "creation" of many medicinal cannabis varieties. In just 8 years, DNA Genetics has collected over 50 awards worldwide.

Initially, there were only two guys in the DNA, who started growing, even in the late 80s while living in California. During this time they have amassed a huge collection of seeds obtained in a variety of ways. In 2002, they moved to Amsterdam, where at that time there was almost no good cannabis. Then they brought their own varieties, as well as all the best that was in California, such as Affie and Kush. Continuing their work, over time, such world-famous varieties as Nevils Haze, G13 Haze and Columbian Gold were bred already in Holland. Their first Cannabis Cup titles came from LAConfidential and Martian Mean Green in 2004 and 2005.
